Nick Tafel Cover Story

Upon graduation from Parsons School of Design, longtime friend Nick Tafel and I teamed up to create a "cover video" for him to send out to prospective employers along with his resume. With under an hour to produce this, along with the hustle and bustle of shooting in New York City, we were able to produce an impactful video detailing his journey. For more information on Nick, feel free to follow his journey at

Nick Tafel

Nick is a student at The New School, Parsons School of Design in his third year of the Master of Architecture Program. Through his previous schooling, his current education at The New School, and his personal and professional design and making endeavors, Nick has honed a wide set of design and making skills that are evidenced in the following work. Having worked in exhibit design/ fabrication, conventional architecture practice, and now retail design (Nike) Nick has a diverse range of design experiences. From analog design and making methods to digital creation and fabrication, Nick feels very comfortable moving between different mediums and methods of design. As Nick moves forward in his work and education, there are three points from which his work stems: craftful execution, social responsibility, and narrative story-telling. This website contains a sample of work from a wide range of time, scales, and mediums.
